Welcome to a brief summary of our marketing!
Our Marketing Strategy Relies on Four Main Pillars:
1. Word of Mouth- Pillars 2-4 are all about developing a story behind our team in order to get North Austin attached to Care Pack. We don't run any paid ad campaigns, we rely completly on YOU to spread our message (the only reason we passed out business cards is to kickstart this process). If you believe in our image and cause, please let others in North Austin know about us!
2. Selling at a Loss to Fight Covid-19- Our fundamental system is set up to help those in economic crisis the most. By selling at a loss, we're not only an economically appealing option, but a morally just one as well. To those who can afford to tip, by all means please do so we can afford to operate; but for those who can't afford to keep us profitable, that's okay! They're still able to order groceries online whereas before they would potentially have to choose between their safety and paying 25% extra on grocery delivery.
3. The Local Lemonade Stand Effect- Everyone loves when a few kids try setting up a local lemonade stand to start a business, people won't mind giving them a dollar for a cold glass because you love the story of a few young kids in your neighborhood aspiring to be entrepreneurs. We hold this same quality (a few local highschoolers starting a E-Commerce company), but to a lesser extent. We make sure to include this sort of romanticized local, run out of a garage, startup image in our message.
4. Simplicity is Key- While designing our website, we discussed adding a multitude of specialty features and add-ons, but decided to exclude the vast majority of them after asking this one question, "does this truely make our website easier to use or understand?". There is a sort of beauty to seamless, simplistic designs that perfectly complements our Local Startup image. The best websites are often those with a few beatifully integrated ideas while a website that has every option imaginable will often come off as cluttered.
